ADHD, DID, a continuum?

I struggle with ADHD, have for many years.  I don't know when it began exactly, but it clearly gets worse all the time.  And now ACEs show it's a common condition with survivors.  And I got to thinking...

I may not be the first to come up with this theory, but I haven't seen or heard of it anywhere so maybe I am.  :)
But if you think about it- what is ADHD?  It's the condition of not be completely present in the moment.   Right?  We are reminded often these days to stay in the moment, be aware, and I, for one, have to work very hard to do just that.  It isn't easy.

My ACE score isn't that high- at least not like a few people I know who are DID.  But then DID is very severe abuse from an early age- and it results in not being present at all.  More severe abuse, early in age, results in not being present at all, and abuse such as I had results in straying from the present frequently.  It would be interesting to see if there's a continuum that could be recognized by studying survivors.

hhmmm.......
